It’s time to admit Apple Watch is a success
This piece is worth the read for anyone whose been cynical about the Watch’s success as a product. It’s probably always going to be just a fraction of iPhone sales (because it’s an accessory) but its growing too fast to be ignored as a product.

This is happening way to often to be ignored at this point. The narrative with an Apple product begins at a rickety launch but never really follows to the point where people start loving their devices (or the point where they get really good)
The Apple Watch is just one of the many Apple offerings that have gotten better with time but their mainstream media narrative remains stuck 2-3 years back. Other examples include Apple Music (Which proved to be the best in class in a span of just 12 months), iCloud (Has become more reliable over the years) and iTunes (which has surprisingly become faster and easier to use with macOS Sierra).
The reason? Apple doesn’t boast as much today. The estimated Watch sales every quarter remain higher than the iPhone ever sold in its initial years.
Also, if you are reading tech news today. Be sure to look at the headlines. Shrinking iPad sales is a 100% given, booming Apple Watch sales? May not even get a mention. Reasons for this are again pretty simple, blogs get way more clicks for writing negative about Apple. (And partly the reason why I’ve begun to hate Tech-News, it’s so click focussed that sometimes it feels like I’m reading a B-Grade gossip magazine.)
