Lots of Bezel to remove on iPad
Lots of Bezel to remove on iPad
If there is a 10.5inch iPad to come out next year, it’ll probably be the same form factor as the 9.7inch iPad but with an even smaller bezel. There’s lots of room both on the sides and the top and bottom edges of the iPad.
Moreover, if the shorter bezels are here to stay, the iPad Pro (12.9inch) will probably reduce in form factor, it’ll make it much more portable. I had the opportunity to try out the bigger Pro sometime back and my first reaction was that that thing was too big to be portable. A lighter and smaller iPad would do wonders. (But then there’ll probably be a stream of rants from people who feel their old accessories got obsolete.)
What I’m most interested about these new iPads is the chipset. With something like A10X there’s be enough power to allow for some New Pro apps. If Apple does showcase the speed of the new iPad at the spring event, I’d hope they show some really interesting professional apps that take advantage of the faster hardware.
