Uber just added Snapchat filters and friend locators to its app - The Verge

The moment you see the swipe up interface in the uber app, it feels like a place where applets and advertisements would go. Applets seem to be an imminent arrival to Uber with this announcement.

I really like how they’ve used the ETA to show up as a filter. This is just what you’d share with your friends. And if your friends are on Snapchat, that’s what you probably want to do.

And it’ll be interesting to see what uber does with this space next.
