Iovine Comments Suggest Apple Music's Video Strategy Has Broadened

I like the idea of one subscription offering all of the three: Music, Movies and TV Shows ; I just wish it isn’t all built into one app. For example, Video is best experienced in the videos app. Not the Music App.

Moreover, if using the Apple TV for the last couple of months has taught me anything, it’s the fact that the content consumption habits of people have changed, I often find myself enjoying 3-5 minute videos on hyper more than say a 50 minute TV Show.

It’s not that TV shows would die anytime soon, I think they’re just getting started. But shorter videos are also vying for the same attention on the new TV & sometimes it’s what time permits, so they grab more attention than the shows.

I hope Apple is considering this if they make a streaming service. I’d love to see a platform for web-content generators to be able to compete with the likes of HBO.
